Seasoning of Cast Iron:
All Carl Victor cast iron cookware products are pre-seasoned and ready to use. All the Carl Victor cast iron cookware products are pre-seasoned in a vegetable oil at 400°C. When treating the Carl Victor pans and casseroles the right way, they will get a natural “Nonstick” effect. Meaning that one shall not wash the cast iron with detergents (As this will dry out the cast iron), do not wash in dishwasher (As this will cover the cast iron in rust, and will have to be seasoned again), do not store it humid or with food in them.
Usage of Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Deep Pan 25 cm With Wooden Handle and Cast Iron Lid:
Heat the pan with cooking-oil/butter or some other fat of choice, until the pan is warm and ready. Fry the food 45 seconds per side, before lowering the heat to finish the frying.
Do not leave any food in the pan when finished frying.
The pan can be used on all kinds of stoves, including INDUCTION.
1) Dish the pan with warm water. Wipe it dry.
2) Store in a dry place.
Never leave the pan wet or in a humid place. Never use the dishwasher to clean it. The pan is likely to rust if this is not followed.
